Brandy
Brandy started BEK Pets in 2006 after several years of working experience in Howard county with a different petsitting/dog walking company. She is a 2003 graduate of Towson University and a native of Frederick, MD. She currently resides in Baltimore County with her two cats, scrappy Dusty and sweet princess Bertie; along with her husband, daughter and stepson--fellow animals lovers and future petsitters!
Nicole
Nicole is one of our senior staff members since 2016. She has 5 years of veterinary technician experience as well as carries a cosmetology license since 2009. Nicole has two cats and a dog-black DMH named Soot, typical fat grey tabby named Tabigail and a husky-border collie mix named Aurora (Rory for short). In her spare time, she loves being be outdoors, making memories with her husband and enjoying time with friends!
Sabrina
Sabrina started working with BEK Petsitting in 2017, the summer before her junior year of college. She graduated from Towson University in 2019 with a degree in anthropology. Between shifts, she conducts archival research on community development and environmental justice issues. Nearly a decade later, Sabrina maintains a passion for pet care and immense pride in working for a local, woman-owned business. In her off hours, Sabrina finds joy in traveling, cooking, crafting, and spending time with friends. She loves living (and walking dogs) in Baltimore!
Mike
A native of Massachusetts, Mike started with BEK in 2019 after a short career as a teacher and wanting to make a change. He hasn’t looked back since and enjoys all his time with the fur babies! At home he has some sweet kitties of his own.
Andrew
A Baltimore native, Andrew started with BEK in 2020 part time, left briefly to finish graduate school at NYU, then came back to BEK full time. He’s a valuable part of the team and enjoys his time at home with his sweet, sometimes ornery, cat Harley.
Sewell
Hello! My name is Sewell, and I’ve been with BEK for almost four years now. I also use BEK for my own two cats, Appa and Pabu, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care! I truly enjoy caring for your fur babies, and it’s always a welcome break from my full-time work as an illustrator and graphic designer.
Taylor M
Originally from Delaware, Taylor moved to Maryland to study film at Towson University. She does occasional freelance work on commercials and TV shows but her primary focus is enjoying spending time with animals. When she isn’t working shes either spending time with her cat Harley, watching movies, or attempting to keep all of her house plants and garden alive.
Sophia
Originally from Ohio, Sophia has grown up in Maryland most of her life. She currently works full time in marketing and resides in Baltimore City. Though a cat person through and through, Sophia has a heart for all animals of all shapes and sizes - and gets a lot of joy from seeing your friendly furry friends on the weekends when she works for BEK. She currently has two cats, Bellatrix and Sir Bartholomew.
Along with our long term full time employees above, we have a full staff of dedicated, animal loving part-timers! We all work together as a team to make BEK a staff of professional pet sitters and dog walkers.
